Comedians

We are proud to represent some of the brightest rising stars & seasoned veterans of comedy from around New England and across the country. Here is a small sample of our wickedly talented roster.

Jim Mccue

A mixture of witty “A-list material” and his ability to work off-script has earned Jim McCue the title “Boston’s King of Crowd Work!” It’s not only his height of six foot six that makes Jim stand head and shoulders above club comedians of the “stick-to-the-script” variety. Jim blends thought-provoking material and uncanny improv skills with a style that encourages audience participation. No two shows are ever the same!

Jim has been featured on Comedy Central, Comcast Comedy Spotlight, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and “Roughing It” on NESN in his native New England. Jim also founded and currently runs The Boston Comedy Festival. He works in top comedy clubs in Boston, Las Vegas, New York, Dublin, Montreal and Edinburgh.

Since 1999 Jim has also entertained U.S. troops at more than 100 bases around the world. An account of his experiences performing for the troops has recently been published in Embedded Comedian which Jim describes as a “field manual for comedians in a war zone.”

With his unique act, Jim keeps the audience on its toes. Volleying between set material and working the crowd, Jim cracks jokes with amazing timing and whip-like precision. A unique blend that is sure to leave the audience roaring with laughter!

Some would say the comedic styling of Jenny Zigrino is Sassy, Brassy, and Classy. Her keen observations, adorable wit and explosive stage presence will capture your attention and possibly your heart.

Jenny Zigrino has been performing nationally in clubs, colleges, and festivals all over the country and internationally. She has featured for national acts like Tom Green(MTV), Gilbert Gottfried (Comedy Central, MTV) Neal Brennan (The Chappelle Show) and Todd Barry (Louie, Comedy Central).

Matt Barry

Matt Barry is one of New England’s fastest rising stars in comedy. A mischievous, post-grad stoner, Matt’s act centers around a transition into adulthood he isn’t ready to make. Applying to jobs, rolling joints, and living with his parents – it’s all part of Matt’s everyday struggle to grow up.

Matt is an exciting new spark in New England Comedy. His act, laid-back but never slow, won him the New England’s Best Bar Comic Contest in 2013. Since then, he’s opened for national headliners like Gilbert Gottfried, Lenny Clarke, and Dave Coulier. He performs regularly at Foxwoods and has been featured in The Hippo Press.

Jim Bishop
Witty & irreverent, this sharp tongued master of all things funny will have you rolling on the floor with his unique perspective on life. Whether talking about getting a tattoo with his mother-in-law or what's in his top five favorite meals of the day, he always keeps audiences glued to stage and holding their stomachs until it hurts.

Matt Kona

Matt Kona is a regular on the Boston Comedy Scene, and a fresh voice. Not for the faint of heart, Matt’s dark sense of humor pokes fun at topics from the mundane to the taboo with equal sharpness. He blends absurdist one liners and twisted topical commentary, making him one of the most unique and interesting comedians in New England.

Jay Chanoine

Jay Chanoine is a comedic cyborg programmed with over 5.8 gigabytes of anecdotes. His material gets slightly better every time his firmware is updated. He performs live comedy in and around New England and owns an impressive collection of shiny pants.
